The awards were somewhat overshadowed by Madonna’s absence and her failure to even send a pre-recorded message. Hmm… Something up in her love life, we wonder?
The Black Eyed Peas were hailed as the real success story by some, but neither James Blunt, nor Robbie Williams will be too unhappy with their results. Scooping the best newcomer bodes well for the stylish crooner as he looks forward to picking up some more awards at the Brits, where alongside the Kaiser Chiefs, James B has been nominated a record five times. Coldplay are up for four, that’s one more than Madonna who’ll hopefully not mix the dates up for this ceremony…
