Curtain Call is the first greatest hits album from rap superstar Eminem. It covers all four of Eminem’s solo albums — The Slim Shady LP (1999), The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), The Eminem Show (2002) and Encore (2004) and five of Eminem’s gold and platinum singles.
The lyrics represent the rap genre of urban poetry on themes ranging from himself, his friends, his family, women, social and political issues. The way I am is forceful and unapologetic; Sing for the moment is dramatic. Joe Perry from Aerosmith plays the guitar on this song. Eminem’s view on the Iraq war is expressed in the song, Like toy soldier. Mockingbird is an ode to his daughter Hailie.
Along with 13 of Eminem’s biggest hits, it includes three new songs — Fack, Shake That (featuring Nate Dogg) and When I am gone, all written by Eminem. Also included is the controversial Eminem-Elton John live duet of Stan from the 2001 Grammy Awards presentation.
