However you feel about him, R Kelly must be feeling like he’s on Death Row. With charges of child molestation hanging over him, his record company are doing the decent thing and trying to keep his mind off it. They’ve just announced the main dates for his upcoming ‘Light it up tour’ which gets rolling on March 9th in Kansas City.
On Thursday, Kelly received a leading three Soul Train Music Award nominations for his latest album and is up for a Grammy Award tonight (Wednesday February 8th) in the Best Long Form Music Video category for his self-directed video “Trapped in the Closet (Chapters 1-5).”
Kelly’s tour, booked exclusively into theaters, will have additional shows added in the coming weeks, according to Jive Records. Meanwhile, here are the confirmed dates and ticket on-sale information:
